12/8/09 Hate List

I like to occassionally put together the Hate List--a random group of 10 things that I could certainly do without at this point in my life. Here's today's list.

#1--Snow. I hate winter.
#2--Meijer's never-ending loop of crappy XMas songs
#3--Stress fractures
#4--ANY Old Navy commercial
#5--Gel-hairs on ESPN yelling at me about how Alabama and Texas have proven they are the 2 best teams in college football.
#6--Deer who try to cross the road in front of cars.
#7--BCS. Doesn't deserve anything more than that.
#8--The sudden onslaught of Tiger Woods mistresses. Don't care. Just want to see him hit golf balls.
#9--Gel-hairs on ESPN yelling at me about FOOTBALL players playing FOOTBALL for FOOTBALL teams in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
#10--The last few Office episodes. Not good stuff at this point in the season.

Beginning....now

Hello! Welcome to the blog! I'm guessing if you are reading this, you have seen my column on the It's Just Sports blog on MLive.com. If you arrived here on accident while attempting to look up funny images from "Talladega Nights," I'm sorry, but I hope you come back again!

I'll attempt to decode the previous week's worth of Pistons games and decisions in a quick format while giving you something to ponder about the upcoming week for George Blaha's favorite team while splicing in some laughs and references to random pop culture phenomena as well.

On my blog, I'll be giving a daily quick hit on something related to basketball in the state of Michigan as well, whether it be high school, NBA, or one of the many college programs.

Thanks for checking this out and I look forward to assisting the IJS mission of "making better sports fans!"
